ULTRA STABLE ELECTRIC FOILING

NEW BENCHMARK IN EFFORTLESS FLIGHT

Heeled to windward, the hull skims the surface, flying on precision.

The new electric system of the hydrofoils scans every wave and measures the movements of the boats to adjust flight in real time.

High-performance ultra sound and movement sensors deliver instant stability during takeoff, flight and manoeuvers adjusting flight behaviour according to the sea state and ensuring maximum performance.

You can focus on your speed, feelings and tactics.

A powerful lithium ion battery provides 4 hours autonomy, plenty of time to enjoy sailing fast.

PERFORMANCE THAT INSPIRES

SERIOUS SPEED. PURE RACING.

Long hydrofoils lift easily in light winds, letting you fly in a wider range of conditions, in more places.

The Airborn Foiler features the best type of hydrofoils: T-shaped carbon hydrofoils that remain underwater thus delivering the pure, uninterrupted speed of true flight.

Engineered for early takeoff and maximum efficiency, the long foils facilitate take off, upwind performance and sailing in locations with light airs, to sail more often in more places.

Designed for consistent, high quality sailing from 8 to 20 knots of wind, the Airborn takes off in winds as low as 6 kts and is capable of sustained flight in 5 kts reaching the modern standard speeds up to 30 kts.

THE DIFFERENCE OF GLOBAL IMPACT

TO CONNECT SAILORS OF ALL LEVELS

The flared hull provides comfortable hiking position with reduced contact between the hull and the water for more speed.

The Airborn is for all sailors, boys, girls, and adults, everyone can jump on board.

Inspired by America’s Cup boats, the flared modern hull shape provides stability during take off and reduces frontal area for both lower drag in the water and in the air.

The deck has been studied for the comfort of both young children and adults when hiking, with specially designed curved cockpit sides, ideally placed on the legs for maximum hiking efficiency.

The Airborn Foiler provides that stability needed to progress fast for anyone that has a sailing background, removing another barrier to enjoying sailing fast.

IT’S FOR MODERN LIFE

READY IN NO TIME, ANYTIME

Simple cockpit, maximum control, everything you need to fly.

Keeping a sailboat simple has always been a recipe for success: from the rig to the foil system, the cover, trolley, everything is designed for simplicity.

Keep your foiler rigged on your favourite spot and rig it in minutes with the simple recessed mast step and simple mainsail set up.

The deck layout

A simple rope system makes it easy to raise and lower both foils, simplifying manoeuvres when heading out or coming back.

Simple cockpit, maximum control, everything you need to fly.

‘The Airborn is a design that simultaneously gives a taste of the America’s Cup and goes beyond sport and resonates with all levels of sailing to connect sailors.’

THE PRESS SPEAKS ABOUT US

‘We design for sailors who value both performance and clarity. Everything is of the highest level, nothing is superfluous, nothing is left to chance.’

IMAGINE THAT

PERFORMANCE, POWER, PRECISION.

With America’s Cup and Supercar DNA, the sculpted lines of its design position the Airborn unmistakably among the new generation of foilers.

3 decoration born into yacht racing culture.

For the past 10 years, the evolution has been toward the simplification of foiling boats by the replacement of complex parts with small computer systems. With the Airborn, this approach delivers both superior performance and simplified access to the sport.

ELECTRIC SYSTEM OF THE FOILS

THERE IS NO WAY BACK

The electric control system is a real ‘Iphone moment’ for sailing. It replaces existing foiling mechanical systems and is now accessible to everyone. It offers many practical advantages:

– more stable take off : excessive nose up or down is controlled at all time

– improved straight line speed: more control means smaller foils which translates into lower drag

– smoother manoeuvers: detection of changes of speed and adjustment of foils as soon as they happen

– increased safety via early detection and control of critical situations such as capsize and nosedive

– more precise: ride height is measured on both sides and includes the influence of pitch and heel angle

– more robust: no external moving and fragile pieces during launch and recovery

The electric system comes with 2 hours autonomy, is self contained, and watertight to IP68 ensuring perfect operation in a marine environment.

With the ever growing use of movement sensors, including in our smartphones, computer systems can now reliably trim the foils for us, at an affordable cost. It’s both simpler and faster.

ALL THE ANSWERS. ALL THE DATA.

PERFORMANCE AND CONTROL

– Is foiling experience required to sail this boat?

No, with the Airborn if you can sail you can most likely foil. You’ll find the learning curve to be very quick thanks to the stability during takeoff, the automatically adjusting foils and the simple yet fully equipped deck layout. You’ll need some practice to perfect takeoffs, but that’s all part of the enjoyable process.

– Can it sail in waves?

Yes. The boat is capable to handle all expected sea conditions up to 20kts of wind. It can sustain smooth continuous flight in wave heights up to 20 kts of wind comfortably. It eithers filters the waves for small waves or follows the contour for larger waves depending on what is best for performance.

– How stable is it?

Before take-off the boat is as stable as a typical single-handed dinghy and once you’re flying stability is increased by the foil’s leverage more than hiking so you can carry the sail area comfortably and maintain balance while flying.

– Which sail size is right for me?

The choice of sail size depends on your weight. We recommend the following sail sizes:

→ For kids typically: crew weight between 40 and 52.5 kg (88 and 116 lb), sail size 5.9m² ( 63.5 ft²)
→ For teenagers typically: crew weight between 52.5 and 65 kg (116 and 143 lb), sail size 6.8m² (73.2 ft²)
→ For most adults typically: crew weight between 65 and 80 kg (143 and 176 lb), sail size 7.8m² (84.0 ft²)
→ For stronger adults typically: crew weight between 80 and 95 kg (176 and 209 lb), sail size 8.5m² (91.5 ft²)

– How early can the boat take off?

The Airborn takes off in 6 to 7 kts of wind and flies in winds as low as 5 kts. It is designed to deliver consistant high-quality sailing between 8 and 20 kts, including plenty of margin for gusts.

– Is the performance really comparable to an America’s Cup boat?

The Airborn Foiler mirrors on purpose the America’s Cup performance: the same speed-to-length ratio and the same sail area to length ratio. Skills learned here apply at the highest level, making it ideal for those who want to feel real high performance, and develop relevant skills.

Detailed performance data for each sail size is available in the document below.

TECHNICAL QUESTIONS

– How is the boat built?

Every component is built at the highest level and with the best materials: carbon, glass and bio composite fibres are laid by hand in CNC-machined moulds for lasting strength and lightness. Before delivery, a geometric control ensure every foil is positioned with accuracy and each boat is weight-equalized to guarantee identical performance and the higher standards of one-design racing.

– How to charge the batteries?

The Airborn Foiler is powered by an advanced lightweight lithium-ion battery providing 4 hours of sailing. It fully recharges in one hour, is safely housed in a watertight compartment that’s easily accessible from the transom for everyone. The boat comes with 2 batteries for long sessions with the ability to charge one while you sail with the other.

– What is the mast set up?

The mast is supported by a forestay and shrouds for a lighter and stiffer rig. It’s seated in a recess so one person can step the mast with ease. The mainsail is fully battened and hoisted with a halyard and secured with a simple dinghy halyard lock. One person can assemble and launch the boat in under 15 minutes.

– What are the safety features of the Airborn Foiler?

Its size delivers natural stability and a secure platform for rest when needed. Built as a closed watertight unit, it is therefore unsinkable. The rounded hull shapes and absence of hiking wings make it gentle on the body, while the open transom and self draining cockpit ensure simpler recovery after a capsize. In addition, the computer system adds simple protection: low-lift mode for towing and the detection of crashes (nose up or down) before they happen with instant reduction of foil lift.

– How can I get spare parts?

The list of spare parts is available below and the parts can be ordered via email or via our website upon reception of the boat.

– For detailed technical details and the complete spare parts list, please download the document below.
