This high performance single handed scow dinghy was created as an architectural experiment, while working for the America’s Cup.
An island of freedom I created where most constraints were temporarily removed allowing for a unique, extreme vision.
It offered the opportunity to experiment and validate new concepts such as scow hull shapes, canting masts, and new build methods. The result is striking, a unique alchemy between strong tensed lines and extreme performance.
Built with the utmost care, most technologies come from the racing world: the non-slip is used on board tp52s, custom deck hardware were designed and 3d printed, the carbon construction is optimized down to a single ply of carbon in some areas.
It is a boat which was designed for my own enjoyment: sailing when there is only a little breeze, with a gentlemen like upwind performance, and of course adrenaline shots when pulling the gennaker up.
