ADMIRAL’S CUP – ELIDA JOINS THE CHALLENGE!
After the America’s Cup, it is time for our 15 meter design, S.Y. Elida, built with our now proven Exoskin wood technology, to join the challenge of this year’s Admiral’s Cup.
For an owner to take a decision such as to compete in the Admiral’s Cup it either means complete madness or a reasonable perception of the design potential.
Elida will be representing Germany and other teams competing in the event include famous names such as Pierre Casiraghi, James Murray and Niklas Zennstrom to name a few.
It will be a pleasure to follow Elida’s progress. We have little doubt about the capabilities of this design, given the attention and performance optimization we conducted: sail plan, appendages, hull shape studies, and the research of our wood construction method.
Elida has already shown great potential in German races:
– she is 200 kilos lighter than a Club Swan 50 despite the wooden construction, lifting keel and exhaustive interior accommodation

– winner of several of the North Sea Week races against JV, Farr and Reichel Pugh designs
– a preparation by the builder that has been put to the test in the last Fastnet race
