TAM TAM, AS THIS BOAT IS LOCALLY KNOWN, WAS CREATED AS AN ARCHITECTURAL EXPERIMENT, WHILE WORKING FOR THE AMERICA’S CUP.

AN ISLAND OF FREEDOM I CREATED WHERE MOST CONSTRAINTS WERE TEMPORARILY REMOVED ALLOWING FOR A UNIQUE, EXTREME VISION.

IT OFFERED THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY AND TEST NEW CONCEPTS SUCH AS SCOW HULL SHAPES, CANTING MASTS, AND NEW BUILD METHODS. THE RESULT IS STRIKING, A UNIQUE ALCHEMY BETWEEN STRONG TENSED LINES AND EXTREME PERFORMANCE.

BUILT WITH THE UTMOST CARE BY BENOIT QUEMENER, MOST TECHNOLOGIES COME FROM THE RACING WORLD: THE NON SLIP IS USED ON BOARD TP52S, CUSTOM DECK HARDWARE WERE DESIGNED AND 3D PRINTED, THE CARBON CONSTRUCTION IS OPTIMIZED DOWN TO A SINGLE PLY OF CARBON IN SOME AREAS.

SLIGHTLY DATED IN ITS BRIEF TODAY (NO FOILS!), IT IS A BOAT WHICH WAS DESIGNED FOR MY OWN ENJOYMENT: SAILING WHEN THERE IS ONLY A LITTLE BREEZE, WITH A GENTLEMEN LIKE UPWIND PERFORMANCE, AND OF COURSE ADRENALINE SHOTS WHEN PULLING THE GENNAKER UP.

YOU CAN FIND ME SAILING THIS BOAT IN THE EVENING OR MORNINGS BEFORE WORK, SOMETIMES JUST FOR THE PLEASURE OF CLEANING IT OR PLAYING WITH A NEW IDEA.
